Excellent at the table and gorgeous in the shower. The slatted top Zapatera is designed to work in and outdoor across spaces. We use it at a table and as a shower stool. Handcrafted from naturally water-resistant teak we grow in reforestation projects.

I've been looking for a nice, teak stool for our shower for over a year, and was thrilled to wander into Masaya where I found this beautifully made piece. I've been afraid that it wouldn't wear well in the shower, but it's got a water resistant coating, and I squeegee it dry after showering, just to prolong it's finish. It's comfortable, practical and beautiful.
The teak stool is beautiful and arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this company and will be purchasing a chair in the near future.

Made to order and worth the wait- you won't be able to find this quality at some walk-in store - those are all mass produced. It is so beautiful. Ordered this shower seat in July and supply chain issues resulted in finally receiving it in early November. When it arrived one of the legs was cracked. I contacted the merchant which had a replacement at my door in 2 days and it was in perfect condition. Very happy with the response, support, and communication by the merchant through this process. I am an experienced woodworker and I think the seat is very sturdy and of high quality, worth every penny. I am impressed with the quality and value of the purchase, and impressed with the company’s response to the supply and damage issues. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.
We bought the teak shower stool to use as an entryway stool for taking shoes on/off (live in Brooklyn and needed something very small to save space). The stool is beautiful and extremely solid/sturdy. Highly recommend this and all Masaya products. Gorgeous craftsmanship.

The stock photo of this stool doesn't do it justice - the wood and design are beautiful and it's very sturdy. We liked our first one so much that we ordered a second for our guest bath. It's also a very good value for a teak item.
